Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to follow instructions and departmental cleaning standards
  • Good interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members
  • No criminal record affecting eligibility to work in hospitality
  • Ability to handle guest requests promptly and professionally

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Basic understanding of safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents
  • Clean assigned number of guest rooms according to company and departmental standards
  • Change bed linens
  • Collect used bath linens and replenish with fresh linens
  • Dust hard surfaces
  • Vacuum carpeted areas
  • Clean bathroom sink, counters, tub and/or shower, toilet, etc.
  • Replenish room amenities such as tissues, soaps, etc.
  • Stock supply cart with supplies necessary for cleaning guest rooms
  • Update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork
  • Notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms
  • Handle guest requests quickly and efficiently
