Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting and moving heavy items
  • prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and work under minimal supervision
  • good communication skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in hospitality setting is an advantage
  • ability to perform physical labor including lifting and moving heavy items
  • attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures

Job Duties

  • ensure the security of guest rooms and their contents
  • clean assigned number of guest rooms according to company and departmental standards
  • change bed linens
  • collect used bath linens and replenish with fresh linens
  • dust hard surfaces
  • vacuum carpeted areas
  • clean bathroom sink, counters, tub and/or shower, toilet
  • replenish room amenities such as tissues, soaps
  • stock supply cart with supplies necessary for cleaning guest rooms
  • update room status and complete requisite departmental paperwork
  • notify housekeeping office of any repairs needed in guest rooms
  • handle guest requests quickly and efficiently
