Job Requirements
- 21 years of age or above
- must obtain and maintain registration or license issued by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission
- ability to perform job responsibilities with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- physical capability to lift or maneuver at least 50 pounds
- ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, climb, balance, stoop, stretch, bend, kneel, crouch, and crawl
- ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable, consistent and punctual attendance
- ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
- adherence to all safety policies and OSHA regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent preferred
- outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills
- excellent attention to detail
- ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals and maintenance instructions
- ability to respond to common inquiries from employees or guests
- conversational English required, second language a plus
- ability to write instructions and present information
- ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
Job Duties
- Ensures all Encore Boston Harbor core values and property and department standards are implemented and applied
- participates in departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
- monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness and makes improvements
- actively contributes to departmental performance, accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of policies and procedures
- follows internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and property-wide controls
- delivers and maintains maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction
- contributes to company-wide communication and best practices
- keeps informed of all new developments within the department
- cleans assigned guest rooms and suites to meet cleanliness and service standards
- removes soil, dirt, soap build-up and hair from bathroom areas
- replaces facial tissue, toilet tissue and bathroom amenities correctly
- inspects condition of bathrobes and replaces soiled or damaged ones
- completes all assigned room cleaning credits
- reports maintenance deficiencies
- transports cart with cleaning supplies, amenities and linens securely to assigned guest suite
- monitors and maintains cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- uses correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- maintains a safe and pristine work environment
- appropriately directs guests’ questions and complaints
- works with safety as a priority
- maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training
- performs any other job-related duties as assigned
