Job Requirements

  • No experience necessary, training will be provided
  • must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
  • will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
  • must be punctual and maintain regular attendance
  • physical ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • ability to perform physical activities including balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, talking
  • ability to work under atmospheric conditions with fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation
  • ability to work in noisy environments
  • exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • previous housekeeping experience preferred
  • ability to follow instructions and directions
  • ability to multitask and meet deadlines including thorough cleaning of a minimum number of rooms
  • ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • ability to deal effectively and professionally with the general public and be attentive to customer needs

Job Duties

  • Changes bed linens and duvet covers daily
  • vacuums the entire guest room area daily
  • dusts all furniture and surfaces daily
  • removes smudges from all surfaces, windows and mirrors
  • thoroughly cleans the bathroom area including tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, and doors
  • replenishes guest room with new amenities
  • replenishes housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area
  • visually inspects the room for cleanliness and appearance and signifies completion
  • provides proper customer service by assisting guests with questions or requests
  • reports any guest room and maintenance defects
  • attends and completes all required department training including bio cleanup, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning agents
  • turns in all lost and found items properly tagged
  • complies with housekeeping and public area standard operating procedures
  • removes food service trays, microwaves, rollaway beds and cribs as necessary
  • serves as mentor when assigned to train new attendants
  • works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
  • maintains punctuality and regular attendance according to policy
  • performs other duties as necessary
