Job Requirements
- No experience necessary, training will be provided
- Must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
- Ability to balance, climb, crawl, crouch, feel, grasp, hear, kneel, pull, push, reach, see, walk, sit, stand, stoop, and talk as required for the job functions
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
- Must comply with all Pueblo policies and standard operating procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to follow instructions and directions
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines including thorough cleaning of specified number of rooms
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to deal effectively and professionally with the public and be attentive to customer needs
- Completion of required training in bio clean up, equipment safety, and chemical use
Job Duties
- Change bed linens and duvet covers daily
- Vacuum the entire guest room area daily
- Dust all furniture and surfaces daily
- Remove smudges from all surfaces, windows, and mirrors
- Thoroughly clean the bathroom area including tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, and doors
- Replenish guest room with new amenities
- Replenish housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area
- Visually inspect the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion
- Provide proper customer service by assisting guests with questions or requests
- Report any guest room and maintenance defects
- Attend and complete all required department training including bio clean up, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals
- Turn in all lost and found items from assigned guest rooms properly tagged
- Comply with all housekeeping/public area standard operating procedures
- Remove all food service trays, microwaves, rollaway beds, and cribs as necessary
- Serve as a mentor to train new guest room attendants during probationary period
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- Maintain punctuality and regular attendance according to the attendance policy
