Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training
- ability to understand and communicate in English
- ability to obtain and maintain New York State Gaming Commission license
- must follow COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs
- comply with safety regulations and OSHA standards
- willingness to wear Duress Alarm and protective gear
- must be able to handle and dispose of sharps properly
- ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and maintenance
- demonstrate guest service orientation
- able to work flexible hours including peak periods
- support team members and management policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training
- ability to understand and communicate effectively in English
- ability to obtain and maintain New York State Gaming Commission license
- knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
- experience with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- ability to provide excellent guest service
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- strong attention to detail
- good teamwork and communication skills
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain guest rooms according to established Hyatt and Resorts World standards
- address guest needs in a professional, positive, and timely manner
- welcome and acknowledge each guest with a smile, eye contact and a friendly greeting, using the guest’s name when possible
- provide a product that is vacant, ready and inspected
- punch the room through the telephone system
- thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide a fond farewell
- respond promptly to requests from guests, Housekeeping Manager, and Front Desk
- stock carts at the beginning and end of shift according to cart stocking procedure
- change bed linens, replace towels, and ensure amenities are properly stocked
- follow all departmental COVID-19 guidelines and SOPs
- clean and polish furniture and fixtures, dust furniture, walls or equipment
- notify manager and log repairs needed in guest rooms
- maintain closets and elevator landings cleanliness and organization
- process guest items left in rooms per lost and found policy
- follow sustainability guidelines and practices
- visually inspect tools, equipment or machines for defects
- wear Duress Alarm as part of uniform
- practice safe work habits and wear protective safety equipment
- handle and dispose of sharps safely
- identify rooms needing deep cleaning and advise management
- perform duties when short staffed or during peak periods
- provide stay over service meeting brand requirements
- support co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect
- assist individuals with disabilities as needed
- select appropriate cleaning chemicals and PPE following OSHA regulations
- obtain and maintain New York State Gaming Commission license
