Job Requirements
- No experience is necessary, training will be provided
- must be able to successfully pass a stringent background investigation
- will require a pre-employment and random drug screening
- must be punctual and maintain regular attendance
- ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- ability to perform physical activities such as balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, finger dexterity, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, seeing, walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and talking
- must comply with safety standards and operational procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions and directions
- ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- ability to deal effectively and professionally with the general public and attend to customer needs
- ability to maintain physical stamina for tasks involving lifting and bending
- strong communication skills
Job Duties
- Changes bed linens and duvet covers daily
- vacuums the entire guest room area daily
- dusts all furniture and surfaces daily
- removes smudges from all surfaces, windows and mirrors
- thoroughly cleans the bathroom area including wash tub, tiles, sink, floor, toilet, walls, and doors
- replenishes guest room with new amenities
- replenishes housekeeping cart with all supplies for designated work area
- visually inspects the room for cleanliness and appearance and signify completion
- provides proper customer service by assisting external/internal guests with questions or requests
- reports any guest room and maintenance defects
- attends and completes all required department training including bio clean up, carpet shampooing, equipment safety, and proper use of cleaning agents and chemicals
- turns in all lost and found items from assigned guest rooms with proper tagging
- complies with all Housekeeping/Public Areas as well as Global Standard Operating procedures
- removes all food service trays, microwaves, rollaway beds, and cribs as necessary
- serves as a mentor when assigned to train new guest room attendants during probationary period using the buddy system
- works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
- maintains punctual and regular attendance according to policy
