Job Requirements

  • Three months minimum related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • High school graduate or equivalent, or equivalent vocational training preferred
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling
  • Availability to work all shifts and any day
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos in English relevant to the job
  • Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, pull and maneuver a 70-pound maid cart at least 75% of the time
  • Ability to work outdoors 75% of the time in extreme temperatures
  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity
  • Walk, stand, and/or crouch on narrow and/or slippery surfaces
  • Ability to distinguish between shades of color
  • Ability to communicate via radio
  • Adequate vision, hearing, and speaking abilities

Job Duties

  • Complete room status reports and follow procedures for entering and leaving rooms
  • Strip and remake beds, clean furniture, vacuum and sweep carpets in guest rooms, replace amenities and clean bathrooms following department guidelines
  • Replace moved, missing or damaged items and report damages or maintenance issues immediately to supervisors
  • Handle biohazard spills according to company procedures and OSHA guidelines
  • Respond promptly and courteously to all guest requests and complaints
  • Perform other duties as assigned
