Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Kalispel Tribal Gaming License
- Hepatitis A and B shots required
- Work nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Ability to lift and or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds
- Occasionally lift or move objects over 100 pounds
- Repetitive movement of wrists, hands, fingers, shoulders, and back
- Walking and standing for sustained periods
- Ascend or descend stairs or ramps using feet and legs or hands and arms
- Stooping, crouching, or kneeling involving lower extremities and back muscles
- Work in damp, dusty and dirty areas
- Clean up human bio hazard and or body fluids
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Three to six months experience or training preferred
- Experience in a four star four diamond hotel is a plus
- Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft programs and other computer software
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group settings
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to follow written or oral instructions with common sense understanding
- Ability to solve problems in standardized situations
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians internal controls and Northern Quest Resort and Casino policies and procedures
- Cleans hotel guestrooms and suites in accordance with four star four diamond hotel service standards, policies, and procedures
- Takes care of equipment and supplies issued in conjunction with cleaning activity
- Immediately reports all damages, missing items, items not working, and items found in guestrooms and suites
- Responsible for passkey issued daily, ensuring it is secured at all times
- Keeps work cart clean, dry, and organized
- Uses only cleaning agents and products issued by the housekeeping department
- Maintains a positive and upbeat attitude and appearance at all times
- Handles special requests of guests properly
- Works well with team members to maintain best service standards
- Uses proper interpersonal skills when interacting with guests and employees
- Shares information with other departments to facilitate their performance
- Complies with hotel safety and loss control procedures
- Knows all hotel emergency procedures
- Ensures guest confidentiality standards are followed
- Maintains consistent attendance
- Ensures control and protection of company assets
- May serve as panelist for internal review hearings
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
