Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of housekeeping field
- Exceptional guest-focus
- Fluency in other languages beneficial
- Prior experience with hazardous cleaning chemicals and cleaning equipment
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 150 pounds
- Ability to perform fine manipulation and repetitive hand movements
- Ability to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces
- Ability to work in various room temperatures
- Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
- Ability to climb stairs occasionally
Job Duties
- Maintain knowledge of and comply with departmental policies, service procedures, and standards
- Maintain knowledge of correct use and maintenance of equipment
- Maintain positive guest relations
- Provide clean, ready guest rooms meeting brand standards including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, removing trash and laundry bags, organizing promotional materials
- Clean extra rooms upon request
- Keep supplies, cleaning materials, and linens secure and organized
- Inspect and ensure materials and equipment readiness
- Assist in maintaining hotel inventory
- Promote sanitation, safety, and security efforts
- Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities, report defects
- Observe guest reactions and coordinate with staff
- Follow hotel policies on lost/stolen items
- Adhere to requirements for accidents and emergencies
- Investigate new cleaning methods
- Contribute to teamwork and hotel success
