Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of direct or customer service related experience or receptionist experience in busy office setting
  • Experience working with disenfranchised or medically fragile population
  • Good computer skills
  • Able to navigate google email, Microsoft applications and databases
  • Must be flexible and able to multitask
  • Able to work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment
  • Must be available to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One year of direct customer service or receptionist experience in a busy office setting
  • Experience working with disenfranchised or medically fragile populations
  • Good computer skills including proficiency with Google email, Microsoft applications, and databases
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a focus on conflict resolution
  • Knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and substance abuse issues
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professional courtesy

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate excellent customer service consistent with the organization's vision, mission, and values
  • Assist guests with basic information about IHS services, service times and locations, and how to access resources
  • Receive and greet visitors and guests professionally and courteously
  • Answer phones, provide information, take accurate messages, and direct calls as appropriate
  • Complete guest intakes and exits, inform guests of services and their rights and responsibilities
  • Accurately enter data into SAMi and HMIS, including using VI-SPDAT for Coordinated Entry
  • Work collaboratively with IHS program staff and external partners to ensure consistent service delivery
