Job Requirements
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred
- Ability to uphold the high standards of Cleveland Metroparks by actions, appearance and attitude always and in all places
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders including employees and the public
- Ability to speak and write clearly concisely and persuasively using correct grammar spelling and punctuation with the ability to communicate one-on-one or in group settings
- Ability to perform work with a high degree of accuracy and organization
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to perform with considerable independence and initiative
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Operate computer-based ticketing system to record fees from admission and other services
- Provide quality guest service and ensure accurate point of sale transactions
- Organize information for registered groups and individuals picking up tickets
- Provide information to visitors regarding special events or activities and location of animal exhibits
- Accurately verify tickets for correct type, time, and date, ensuring only authorized guests are admitted to the Zoo and designated exhibits
- Engage guests in a friendly and positive manner
- Provide access control for the giraffe feeding, bird feeding, and contact yard areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable guest experience
- Keep direct supervisor promptly informed of key or significant issues or concerns
- Carry out duties and responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner to maintain a safe work environment and surrounding area
- Respond to hazardous situations and/or potentially unsafe conditions by taking corrective action or notifying supervisory personnel
- Perform related duties as assigned or apparent
