Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • able to lift up to 35 lbs, bend, reach, and move quickly as needed
  • frequent handwashing and maintaining a clean work area

Job Qualifications

  • Positive attitude and strong focus on guest service
  • hospitality or food and beverage experience is helpful but not required
  • basic knowledge of food safety
  • California Food Handler Certification required within 30 days
  • clear communication skills in English
  • safety materials available in other languages
  • professional and friendly demeanor
  • strong reading, writing, and speaking skills
  • ability to stay organized and multitask in a busy environment
  • willingness to work varied shifts as required

Job Duties

  • Welcome guests with a warm, professional greeting
  • handle check-ins, check-outs, room assignments, keys, and payments
  • keep the front desk clean, organized, and safe
  • share hotel information and local recommendations with confidence
  • respond to guest questions and resolve concerns quickly
  • record feedback and follow up as needed
  • assist with guest communications and transportation needs
  • stay aware of hotel events and support smooth operations
  • promote hotel rates, packages, and special offers
  • work with other departments to solve guest or billing issues
  • greet guests and create a welcoming bar atmosphere
  • prepare and serve drinks to standard or guest preference
  • take and deliver food and beverage orders
  • process payments accurately
  • maintain a clean, stocked, and organized bar area
  • monitor alcohol service and follow all legal requirements
  • build rapport with guests and remember their preferences
  • support the team with stocking, cleaning, and hosting duties
  • assist with food service when needed
  • greet each guest with a smile within 45 seconds of arrival
  • deliver friendly, attentive service throughout breakfast or social hours
  • set up and maintain a clean, attractive food area
  • check food quality, temperature, and presentation
  • clear tables, clean spills, and maintain tidy public areas
  • follow all food safety and sanitation standards, including California guidelines
  • break down and clean the service area, storing food properly and sanitizing equipment
  • respond promptly to guest requests and questions
