Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months to 1 year experience in relevant food service or customer service roles
  • ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach repetitively or for extended periods
  • excellent communication skills
  • capable of working in loud and confined spaces
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • compliance with health and safety policies including covid-19 regulations
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • 6 months to 1 year experience working in food service, concessions, attractions, entertainment, or customer service-based positions preferred
  • fun, dynamic, and friendly personality
  • excellent communication and listening skills with both team members and guests
  • able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces
  • self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills
  • flexible to work a variety of shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events

Job Duties

  • adopt an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to guest service and demonstrate the merlin values at every opportunity
  • seek out guest contact and display enthusiasm and boundless amounts of fun energy
  • maintain a strong sales approach, maximizing sales goal targets
  • ensure the queue lines are managed in a safe way while still delivering an excellent guest experience
  • be comfortable and enjoy speaking to a variety of guests, visitors, and team members
  • ensure all public areas have well stocked displays and point of sale, ready for the attraction opening and maintain the areas in a clean and tidy manner throughout the day
  • follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the department’s operating plan
  • cross-train for the retail store as needed
  • ensure compliance of health, safety and security within the workplace, including covid-19 policies
  • physically be able to stand, bend, kneel, and reach repetitively or for extended periods of time
