Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • completion of Safe Tracks training or equivalent
  • standing and walking 3-4+ hours without rest breaks
  • ability to lift and carry 5-50 lbs
  • capable of bending and reaching as needed
  • comfortable using cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, mop buckets, and carts
  • forceful grip necessary for cleaning tools
  • work performed within restaurant setting
  • pushing and pulling required for cleaning duties
  • compliance with all company policies and house rules

Job Qualifications

  • Successful completion of Golden Corral’s Co-worker Food Safety and Sanitation course
  • position certification through Golden Corral’s co-worker training program
  • experience in food preparation preferred but not required
  • proof of food handler certification may be required in applicable states
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • capacity for moderate-to-heavy lifting and physical activity
  • adherence to company uniform standards and policies
  • friendly and professional appearance and personality

Job Duties

  • Assists guests by describing menu offerings and buffet locations
  • ensures that food products are available and communicates with back of house staff accordingly
  • offers assistance to guests and supports them at the buffet when requested
  • maintains a friendly and courteous demeanor with guests at all times
  • cleans and maintains bar areas to uphold the restaurant’s cleanliness standards
  • checks, cleans, and stocks restrooms and notifies the utility person or manager when additional cleaning or maintenance is required
  • picks up and disposes of visible trash
  • sweeps and cleans floors around the buffet area
  • performs duty roster and pleasurable dining experience responsibilities
  • follows local health department regulations
  • reports equipment problems to management
  • monitors quality and presentation of buffet food and informs coworkers or managers of any issues
  • performs other tasks to ensure guests have a pleasurable dining experience
