Job Requirements

  • Must be able to work a varied schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to deal effectively with guests and fellow associates in a friendly and positive manner
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to use computer systems to input information accurately
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hotel, receptionist, customer service, front desk or administrative experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • Hearing and visual ability to detect signs of emergencies
  • Friendly and positive demeanor when dealing with guests and associates

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel
  • Answer calls and act as an ambassador by providing information about local attractions, hotel history, amenities, and services
  • Coordinate necessary support from other departments and managers
  • Take room service orders and coordinate amenity deliveries ensuring prompt service
  • Fulfill VIP and special requests for products and services
  • Partner with key guest service members including bell services, valet, front desk, concierge, room service, restaurants, engineering, housekeeping, and events
  • Maintain a positive attitude and seek new ways to impress and delight guests
  • Perform other job duties as assigned
