Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior customer service experience preferred but not required
  • ability to stand and remain mobile during entire shift
  • capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • flexible availability including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • basic proficiency with technology and ability to learn new systems
  • strong communication skills
  • positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
  • compliance with safety and company policies
  • willingness to work varying shifts
  • legal authorization to work

Job Duties

  • demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • inform guests of current promotions, store activities, and events
  • be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues for guests and improve their experience
  • thank guests and show appreciation for choosing to shop at Target
  • promote and assist with Target Loyalty program enrollment and applications
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately following food safety standards and company best practices
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait times while maintaining service and accuracy
  • understand and demonstrate features of the Target App including Wallet
  • be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering and guide guests in their use
  • attempt every return and follow register prompts while partnering with leaders as needed following policies
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work in a safe manner by following all safety policies and reporting hazards
  • support guest services such as order pick-up, Drive-Up orders, returns, and maintain compliance with laws
  • perform other duties as needed based on business demands
