Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Capable of standing and remaining mobile for duration of scheduled shift
- Willingness to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills including positive language and attentive listening
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Basic proficiency with technology such as handheld scanners and mobile apps
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- Welcoming and helpful attitude towards guests and team members
- Ability to remain focused and composed under pressure
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- Thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- Encourage and assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and membership sign-up
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Show guests how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
- Direct guests to enroll and use Order Pick-Up and Drive Up services
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts while partnering with leaders as needed
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times
- Comply with safety policies and report hazards
- Support guest services such as Order Pick-Up and Drive-Up, including compliance with relevant laws
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
