Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- ability to operate handheld scanners, multiple frequency devices, and other technology
- ability to work independently and collaboratively
- ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced environment
- basic math skills for handling transactions
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs
- make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- understand and demonstrate usage of the Target App features including Wallet
- be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and assist guests in enrolling and using these features
- attempt every return and follow register prompts while partnering with leadership as needed
- maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
- work safely and report hazards
- support order pick-up, Drive-Up orders, and returns, ensuring compliance with adult beverage laws
- perform other duties based on business needs
