Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous retail or customer service experience is a plus

  • willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • ability to operate handheld scanners, multiple frequency devices, and other technology

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs
  • make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
  • thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • understand and demonstrate usage of the Target App features including Wallet
  • be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and assist guests in enrolling and using these features
  • attempt every return and follow register prompts while partnering with leadership as needed
  • maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
  • work safely and report hazards
  • support order pick-up, Drive-Up orders, and returns, ensuring compliance with adult beverage laws
  • perform other duties based on business needs
