Job Requirements
- Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity while performing job duties
- Capacity to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to remain mobile during a scheduled shift
- Willingness to communicate effectively and engage with guests and team members
- Commitment to safety and ethical conduct while on the job
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Effective communication skills including use of positive language
- Ability to use technology and handheld devices
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Capability to remain composed in fast-paced, dynamic settings
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
- Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up Orders, and Registry guests including maintaining compliance culture
