Job Requirements

  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures and humidity while performing job duties
  • Capacity to scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile during a scheduled shift
  • Willingness to communicate effectively and engage with guests and team members
  • Commitment to safety and ethical conduct while on the job

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus
  • Effective communication skills including use of positive language
  • Ability to use technology and handheld devices
  • Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Capability to remain composed in fast-paced, dynamic settings

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up Orders, and Registry guests including maintaining compliance culture
