Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer service principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
- Basic proficiency with technology and point-of-sale systems
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment
- Team player with a positive attitude
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact and tailor the approach
- Engage with guests in a genuine way by asking questions to better understand their specific needs
- Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality
- Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist guests with registration
- Assist guests in using digital features such as the Target Wallet and app
- Facilitate enrollment and use of all fulfillment services
- Handle returns following store policies and involve leaders as needed
- Partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover the guest experience
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work safely and correct hazards
- Support guest services in compliance with laws and policies
- Perform other duties as required by business needs
