Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions
  • Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely including lifting up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Attention to detail while multitasking
  • Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology
  • Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Partner with Leaders as needed to de-escalate any negative situations and recover the guest shopping experience following Target's policies and procedures
