Job Requirements

  • Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
  • Capable of working in varying temperatures and exposure to elements
  • Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting up to 44 pounds
  • Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to remain mobile throughout scheduled shifts
  • Willingness to engage with guests and educate about products and services

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in customer service or retail environments preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Familiarity with technology including handheld scanners and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to delivering a positive guest experience

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and application or sign-up processes
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders, and registry, maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable laws
