Job Requirements
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- able to remain mobile during a shift
- capable of lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- willingness to communicate effectively and educate guests
- ability to handle checkout operations accurately
- capable of working in varying environmental conditions including temperature and humidity
- adherence to safety policies and procedures
- authorized to work in the United States
- capable of working in a physically demanding role
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- excellent communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- experience in customer service preferred but not required
- proficiency with technology such as handheld scanners and multi-frequency devices
- ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- friendly and welcoming attitude
- capable of learning and promoting digital tools and services
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experience
- thank guests and let them know we appreciate their choice to shop at Target
- promote Target Loyalty programs and assist guests with application or sign-up
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining accuracy
- educate guests on using Target App features including Wallet
- support Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering services
- handle returns according to Target's policies and procedures
- maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during open hours while staying available for guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- work safely and report hazards
- support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations especially regarding adult beverages
- perform additional duties based on business needs
