Job Requirements

  • Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
  • capable of working in exposure to varying temperatures and elements including Drive-Up and carryout duties
  • able to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely including lifting up to 44 pounds occasionally
  • flexible work schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • effective communication skills including positive language and attention to guest needs
  • able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • proficient with technology including handheld scanners and multiple frequency devices
  • ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • willing to learn and engage with guests around products and services
  • ability to provide welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
  • engage with guests in a genuine way, including asking questions to understand their specific needs
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service, accuracy, and quality
  • make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
  • know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
  • understand and demonstrate how to use the Target App features
  • be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct guests to enroll or activate them
  • handle returns with care and partner with leaders to solve guest issues following policies
  • de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
  • deliver easy and accurate service to order pick-up, drive-up, and registry guests
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • support guest services including order pick-up and Drive-up orders, maintaining compliance
  • perform other duties based on business needs
