Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior customer service experience is an asset but not required
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable and punctual attendance
- ability to stand and remain mobile during shifts which may vary in length
- capability to lift and move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
- capacity to work in varying temperature and humidity conditions
- ability to handle checkout operations and transactions accurately
- basic proficiency with technology and communication devices
- compliance with safety protocols and company policies

- Effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guests needs
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail with ability to prioritize tasks
- willingness to educate guests about products and services
- ability to operate multiple devices including handheld scanners
- capability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to stay focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- basic familiarity with retail or customer service environments is beneficial
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- make the guest aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
- assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and applications
- scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately while maintaining food safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- educate guests on the Target App features including Wallet
- support Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering enrollment and activation
- process returns following register prompts and Target policies
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies while remaining available for guests
- uphold a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
- comply with safety policies and training and report hazards
- support guest services like order pickup and Drive-up orders while ensuring compliance with laws
- perform other duties based on business needs
