Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse guests
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of a shift
  • Capacity to scan, handle, and move merchandise up to 44 pounds
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to operate handheld technology and follow register procedures

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
  • Observe to quickly understand whether a guest needs assistance or wants to interact
  • Engage with guests in a genuine way including asking questions to better understand their specific needs
  • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve guest issues and improve their experience
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
  • Make the guest aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
  • Understand and show guests how to use Wallet and other Target App features
  • Be familiar with all fulfillment services and direct guests to use them
  • Follow register prompts for returns and partner with leaders to solve guest issues
  • Partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
  • Deliver easy and accurate service to Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area including gathering abandoned items
  • Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • Work safely at all times and comply with safety policies and best practices
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up, and related compliance duties
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs
