Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Capable of standing and remaining mobile for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
  • Willingness to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
  • Must be able to handle checkout operations accurately
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively
  • Commitment to safety and ethical conduct
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in customer service or retail is beneficial but not required
  • Effective communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Comfortable using technology such as handheld scanners and communication devices
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to adapt to different guest interactions and solve problems creatively
  • Willingness to learn and promote products, services, and loyalty programs

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Promote current promos, store activities and events to guests
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • Thank guests and express appreciation for their choice to shop at Target
  • Assist with Target Loyalty programs, including application and sign-up
  • Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Show guests how to use the Target App and direct them in online ordering features
  • Handle returns and partner with leadership to resolve guest issues following company policies
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while remaining available for guests
  • Comply with safety policies and report or correct hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick-up and drive-up orders with compliance to laws
  • Perform other duties based on business needs
