Job Requirements

Accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements during some job duties
Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without additional assistance
Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
Reliable and prompt attendance necessary
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift

Job Qualifications

Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
Attention to detail while multitasking
Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed
Work both independently and with a team
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

Job Duties

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with company best practices
Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service, accuracy, and quality
Make guests aware of current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events
Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to solve for the guest while following Target policies and procedures
Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up, and Registry while maintaining compliance with laws and store policies
