Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively, including using positive language and being attentive to guests needs
- welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members

- willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed

- accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
- scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including lifting products up to 44 pounds occasionally
- flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

- ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
- capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions including outdoor elements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous customer service or retail experience is helpful but not required
- basic math and reading skills
- ability to operate technology such as registers and scanners
- strong interpersonal communication skills
- ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- teamwork and collaboration skills
- willingness to learn and engage with guests and team members

Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as daily tasks are completed
- engage with guests to help solve specific needs
- make guests aware of current promos, store activities, and events
- be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and enhance their experience
- thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target
- assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and applications
- scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait times while maintaining service and accuracy
- show guests how to use features in the Target App including Wallet
- be familiar with order pick-up, drive-up, and online ordering and help guests use these services
- attempt returns and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed
- maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- stock supplies while being available for guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance culture
- work safely at all times and report hazards
- support guest services such as order pick-up, drive-up orders, and returns with compliance to laws
- perform other duties based on business needs
