Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak times
  • previous retail or customer service experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • ability to handle checkout operations and transactions accurately
  • physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
  • ability to remain mobile and stand for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • capability to work in varying environmental conditions including exposure to different temperatures and humidity

Job Duties

  • demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their needs
  • make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
  • be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experience
  • thank guests and express appreciation for shopping at Target
  • inform guests about Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately in compliance with food safety standards
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait times while maintaining service quality
  • demonstrate how to use features of the Target App including Wallet
  • guide guests on order pick-up, drive-up, and online ordering enrollment and usage
  • attempt to resolve returns following register prompts and company policies
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests
  • demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work safely by following safety policies and reporting hazards
  • support guest services such as order pick-up and drive-up while enforcing compliance with laws and company policies
  • perform other duties based on business needs
