Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent communication skills including positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
- Friendly and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services
- Ability to use multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within timeframes
- Experience handling checkout operations and transactions is a plus
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you complete your daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve their experience
- Thank guests and let them know we're happy they chose to shop at Target
- Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up
- Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Understand and show guests how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
- Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering and direct guests to enroll and use these features
- Attempt every return and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders as needed to solve for the guest
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area by gathering unpurchased items and hangers for removal
- Stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
- Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times, comply with policies and report hazards
- Support guest services such as order pick-up, Drive-up orders, and DU returns, ensuring compliance with laws
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
