Job Requirements
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- reliable and prompt attendance
- ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift
- capability to work in varying temperatures and conditions including exposure during Drive-Up and carryout
- accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office duties
- scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely
- physical ability to frequently lift or move product up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- effective communication skills including use of positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
- friendly and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
- ability to educate guests and engage around products and services
- comfortable using multiple frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- capable of remaining focused and composed in a fast-paced environment
- able to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- capability to lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds occasionally
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
- thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target
- promote and assist with Target Loyalty programs including application and sign-up
- scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards
- work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- educate guests on features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
- be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering and assist guests with enrollment
- attempt every return and follow register prompts while partnering with leaders as needed
- maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours while being available to guests
- demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times
- comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct them when possible
- support guest services such as order pick-up, drive-up orders, returns, and maintain compliance with legal regulations
- perform other duties based on business needs
