Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in customer service or retail is beneficial but not required
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology
- positive attitude and team-oriented approach
- capability to work independently and in a team
- ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under time constraints
- flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- engage with guests to help solve specific needs
- make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
- be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
- thank guests and acknowledge them for choosing Target
- assist guests with Target Loyalty program enrollment and sign-up
- scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
- minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- educate guests about features and offerings within the Target App
- direct guests on order pick-up, Drive Up, and online ordering
- attempt every return and follow register prompts
- maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- stock supplies during store hours
- comply with safety policies and demonstrate ethical conduct
- support guest services like order pick up and Drive Up in compliance with regulations
- perform other duties based on business needs
