Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior experience in customer service or retail is beneficial but not required

  • ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology

  • capability to work independently and in a team
  • ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under time constraints

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests to help solve specific needs
  • make guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
  • be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to improve guest experience
  • thank guests and acknowledge them for choosing Target
  • assist guests with Target Loyalty program enrollment and sign-up
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • educate guests about features and offerings within the Target App
  • direct guests on order pick-up, Drive Up, and online ordering
  • attempt every return and follow register prompts
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours
  • comply with safety policies and demonstrate ethical conduct
  • support guest services like order pick up and Drive Up in compliance with regulations
  • perform other duties based on business needs
