Job Requirements

  • Ability to accurately handle checkout operations and transactions
  • capability to scan, handle and safely move merchandise including frequently lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
  • willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • reliable and prompt attendance
  • ability to remain mobile throughout the shift
  • ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
  • compliance with company safety policies and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • experience in customer service or retail helpful
  • excellent communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
  • ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced environments
  • ability to prioritize tasks and pay attention to detail
  • willingness to engage guests and promote products and services

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
  • be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience
  • thank guests and let them know appreciation for shopping at Target
  • know and promote benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
  • scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App
  • be familiar with order pick-up, drive up and online ordering and help guests enroll and activate these features
  • handle returns following register prompts and company policies
  • maintain a clean, clutter free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
  • demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • work safely at all times, comply with all safety policies and report hazards
  • support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders
  • perform all other duties based on business needs
