Job Requirements

Ability to accurately handle checkout operations and transactions
capability to scan, handle and safely move merchandise including frequently lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
reliable and prompt attendance
ability to remain mobile throughout the shift
ability to work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions
compliance with company safety policies and ethical standards

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
experience in customer service or retail helpful
excellent communication skills including positive language and attentiveness
ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment
ability to work independently and as part of a team
ability to remain focused and composed in fast-paced environments
ability to prioritize tasks and pay attention to detail
willingness to engage guests and promote products and services
flexibility to work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available to solve issues and improve guest experience
thank guests and let them know appreciation for shopping at Target
know and promote benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
scan and bag all guest items efficiently and accurately
work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
understand and show guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App
be familiar with order pick-up, drive up and online ordering and help guests enroll and activate these features
handle returns following register prompts and company policies
maintain a clean, clutter free work area
stock supplies during store hours while remaining available for guests
demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
work safely at all times, comply with all safety policies and report hazards
support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up orders
perform all other duties based on business needs
