Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior retail or customer service experience preferred
  • ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of shifts
  • capability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift up to 44 pounds occasionally without assistance
  • basic technology proficiency with handheld scanners and communication devices
  • commitment to safety and compliance policies

Job Duties

  • demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
  • engage guests to help solve their specific needs in a welcoming manner
  • promote and inform guests about current promotions, store activities, and events
  • be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experience
  • thank guests and express appreciation for choosing Target
  • assist guests with Target Loyalty programs and support applications or sign-ups
  • scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
  • work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • educate guests on features of the Target app, including Wallet
  • direct guests on order pick-up, drive-up, and online ordering enrollment and use
  • handle returns and follow register prompts, partnering with leaders when needed
  • maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • stock supplies during store hours while being available for guests
  • demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
  • work safely and comply with all safety policies and report hazards
  • support guest services such as order pickup and drive-up while ensuring regulatory compliance
  • perform all other duties based on business needs
