Job Requirements
- Commitment to flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to handle physically active duties including lifting up to 44 pounds
- Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Compliance with safety standards and policies
- Willingness to engage and educate guests
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial
- Effective communication skills including use of positive language and attentiveness
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Capability to operate communication devices and handheld scanners
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
- Positive and welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and engage with new technologies and services
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
- Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
- Promote and make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experiences
- Efficiently scan and bag all guest items in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
- Educate guests on how to use the Target app and digital services including Wallet
- Assist guests with Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering processes
- Process returns in accordance with register prompts and Target policies
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests
- Work safely and comply with all safety policies and training
- Support guest services including compliance with adult beverage laws
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
