Job Requirements

  • Commitment to flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times
  • Reliable and prompt attendance
  • Ability to handle physically active duties including lifting up to 44 pounds
  • Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • Compliance with safety standards and policies
  • Willingness to engage and educate guests
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial
  • Effective communication skills including use of positive language and attentiveness
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Capability to operate communication devices and handheld scanners
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Positive and welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
  • Ability to remain composed and focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and engage with new technologies and services

Job Duties

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks
  • Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
  • Promote and make guests aware of current promotions, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the store to improve guest experiences
  • Efficiently scan and bag all guest items in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
  • Minimize guest wait time while maintaining guest service and accuracy
  • Educate guests on how to use the Target app and digital services including Wallet
  • Assist guests with Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering processes
  • Process returns in accordance with register prompts and Target policies
  • Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store open hours while being available for guests
  • Work safely and comply with all safety policies and training
  • Support guest services including compliance with adult beverage laws
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs
