Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior retail or customer service experience is beneficial but not required
- Ability to accurately handle cash register operations and cash transactions
- Capability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and conditions related to certain duties such as drive-up and carryout
- Ability to scan, handle, and move merchandise safely including frequently lifting or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance
- Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and prompt attendance
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts which may vary in length

- Effective communication skills including positive language use and attentiveness to guest needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Attention to detail while multitasking
- Willingness to educate guests and engage around products and services
- Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and complete multiple tasks within set timeframes
Job Duties
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by authentically greeting all guests
- Engage with guests in a genuine way including asking questions to understand their needs
- Be knowledgeable about store tools, products, and services to solve guest issues and improve experience
- Thank guests genuinely and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently and accurately
- Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality
- Promote current and upcoming brand launches, store activities, and events
- Communicate the benefits of Target loyalty programs and assist with applications
- Understand and guide guests on using the Target app and fulfillment services
- Process returns accurately following company policies
- Partner with leaders to de-escalate negative situations and recover guest experiences
- Deliver accurate service across order pick-up, drive-up, and registry areas
- Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area
- Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times
- Identify and correct hazards and comply with all safety policies
- Support guest services including order pick up, drive-up, and returns while maintaining compliance
- Perform all other duties based on business needs
