Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Proficient with baggage and express operation and able to quote rates and information
- Able to lift items that weigh up to 50lbs
- Able to push or pull a baggage cart and operate baggage equipment such as tow tractors
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient with baggage and express operations
- Skilled in processing all types of Amtrak tickets and understanding tariffs
- Qualified in the operation of Arrow, RailRes/Stars, and QuikTrak systems
- Familiar with the Passenger Information Display System
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Positive attitude and comfortable interacting with customers and using computer systems
- Valid Driver’s License
Job Duties
- Greet and assist passengers for their comfort and service needs
- Assist passengers with special needs, luggage, and boarding procedures
- Prepare and maintain ticket sales reports, safeguard company funds, and complete related documentation
- Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on ticket printers and Quik-Trak machines
- Replenish informational racks and distribute travel-related printed and verbal information to passengers
- Ensure timely and compliant boarding of trains, verifying tickets and travel documents
- Perform janitorial duties and handle checked baggage, package express, and company materials at the station and on/off trains
