Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or related field preferred
  • 2 or more years of group sales experience in an independent or luxury lifestyle hotel setting
  • demonstrated ability to generate leads, close contracts, and exceed group room night goals
  • skilled in consultative sales, client storytelling, and proposal creation
  • high proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite
  • excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • self-starter with a high degree of ownership, flexibility, and creativity
  • ability and willingness to travel to attend client meetings and industry functions
  • ability to develop and maintain sales processes to maximize revenue
  • strong knowledge of sales techniques with ability to negotiate and close sales
  • ability to determine customer needs and present sales options persuasively

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new group business opportunities from corporate, incentive, and lifestyle-aligned accounts
  • leverage industry network and develop strategic relationships to drive brand visibility in key markets
  • interpret market trends, customer behavior, and competitive activity to inform sales strategies
  • build and maintain long-term, high-value client relationships
  • represent the hotel at industry trade shows, client events, site visits, and sales missions
  • plan and execute familiarization trips and pre-opening presentations
  • respond to RFPs with tailored proposals
  • collaborate with revenue, marketing, and operations teams to align client needs and deliverables
  • support the development of sales tools and pipeline reports during pre-opening
  • contribute to creation of pre-opening sales processes, SOPs, and CRM data structure
  • attend internal business planning, revenue strategy, and training sessions
  • maintain accurate client and prospect data in CRM platforms
