Job Requirements

  • Education level as required
  • Relevant sales experience preferably in hospitality
  • Strong business communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain high work ethic and self-initiative
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
  • Basic computational ability
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and complete work assignments on time
  • Regular attendance according to guidelines

Job Duties

  • Conduct successful, aggressive solicitation process involving outside sales calls, inside appointments, telephone calls, individual letter and direct mail
  • Assist the Director of Sales in the preparation of the annual marketing plan covering assigned market segments
  • Send proposals on all leads fitting the property profile and actively follow through to convert to definite status
  • Clearly outline client’s room block, suite, meeting and banquet space requirements on booking sheets
  • Obtain, document and route all necessary information on definite groups including billing, credit application, rooming list and VIP arrangements
  • Maintain assigned sales quota
  • Maintain sensitivity to customer satisfaction and guests’ needs
  • Provide weekly sales call reports and itineraries to the Director of Sales
  • Work cooperatively with fellow associates
  • Promote a culture of guest service and positive attitude
  • Perform reasonable management requests
