Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years hotel sales experience
  • Ability to travel locally and nationally for business meetings and client presentations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly organized
  • Professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Willingness to assist coworkers as needed
  • Knowledge of SalesPro preferred but not required

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times
  • Willing to be part of a team and help coworkers with their job duties if needed
  • Four-year college degree preferred, however, any combination of education and training within hotel sales may also be considered

Job Duties

  • Manage the local and national Business Travel accounts
  • Ensure all financial and sales goals are achieved or exceeded
  • Prepare and complete annual RFPs for corporate and consortia accounts
  • Complete account prospecting, solicitation, and development via telephone, personal contact, outside calls, correspondence, email and other means of communication
  • Conduct hotel site inspections, entertain both in house and off property, and maintain thorough follow up methods
  • Maintain in-depth files on all accounts via hard files and/or automated account management system
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual room night and revenue goals
  • Represent hotel at trade shows, civic/business functions, industry-related associations, reservation centers, and other events to promote the hotel and/or the city
  • Prepare and present proposals and contracts both written and verbal in a prompt, accurate, profitable, pleasant and professional manner
  • Execute account contracts including any necessary negotiations in a timely manner
