Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of relevant hotel sales experience
- experience in managing group sales for large properties preferred
- strong negotiation and closing skills
- excellent communication and presentation abilities
- ability to collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments
- willingness to travel for sales trips
- leadership qualities and team management skills
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of hotel sales experience in a property larger than 500 rooms preferred
- proven success in developing and closing group business including prospecting, overcoming objections, negotiating, and closing the sale
- ability to communicate and coordinate with internal departments such as catering, finance, and group rooms to ensure seamless execution of sales agreements
- demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills including proficiency in public speaking and client presentations
Job Duties
- Manage all incoming leads and proactively prospect within designated market segments
- develop, negotiate, and close group business opportunities to achieve revenue goals
- maintain an active sales funnel aligned with both short- and long-term business objectives
- conduct full property site visits delivering exceptional experiences that exceed client expectations
- collaborate with the Director of Sales and/or Corporate Director of Sales to identify and pursue new market opportunities
- prepare and present business proposals, contracts, and related sales documentation
- possibly participate in 3-5 sales trips annually to promote property and expand market presence
