Job Duties
- Schedules and trains staff
- reports cash transactions
- prepares cash deposits
- compiles patient menus and special needs
- setup and checking of patient tray line
- opening and closing of the department
- prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner
- directs catering and doctor’s lounge service
- communicates proper information regarding any patient or non-patient needs to peers, staff and Food Service Supervisor or Manager
- maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA and other standards
- maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
- participates in monthly department QA/QI and related in-services
- aids Food Service Supervisor or Manager in development of in-services to improve quality
- ensures proper portion controls, tray delivery standards and cafe service standards are followed by staff
- aware of Food Borne Illness prevention and sanitation requirements and assures compliance
- follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services
