Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • three years previous food service experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • three years previous food service experience

Job Duties

  • Schedules and trains staff
  • reports cash transactions
  • prepares cash deposits
  • compiles patient menus and special needs
  • setup and checking of patient tray line
  • opening and closing of the department
  • prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • directs catering and doctor’s lounge service
  • communicates proper information regarding any patient or non-patient needs to peers, staff and Food Service Supervisor or Manager
  • maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, ADA, FMLA and other standards
  • maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures
  • participates in monthly department QA/QI and related in-services
  • aids Food Service Supervisor or Manager in development of in-services to improve quality
  • ensures proper portion controls, tray delivery standards and cafe service standards are followed by staff
  • aware of Food Borne Illness prevention and sanitation requirements and assures compliance
  • follows all universal precautions as they apply to food services
