Job Duties

  • Process room reservations, requests, modifications, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or email
  • identify guest needs related to reservations, determine appropriate room type, check availability and rates
  • explain guarantee policies, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers
  • document special requests
  • respond to inquiries about facilities, services, and accommodations
  • utilize sales techniques to maximize revenue
  • communicate VIP reservation information appropriately
  • enter and access data within the reservation system
  • resolve guest reservation issues by coordinating with relevant persons or departments
  • oversee accuracy of room blocks and reservations
  • input group room lists using reservation systems
  • monitor room blocks to maintain required availability
  • maintain organized files for groups
  • set up billing accounts per accounting policies
  • adhere to all company policies and procedures including maintaining professional appearance and confidentiality
  • greet guests consistently according to company standards, anticipate service needs, thank guests sincerely, assist persons with disabilities
  • communicate clearly and professionally, prepare and review accurate written documents, answer telephones with appropriate protocol
  • cultivate positive working relationships, support team objectives, listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns
  • comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
  • visually verify information in various formats
  • lift and move objects up to 10 pounds unassisted
  • perform reasonable additional duties as directed by supervisors
