Job Requirements
- one year of general office clerical experience
- six months of progressively responsible experience related to reservation operations
- ability to use a personal computer and various software programs
- ability to control and handle cash
- high school diploma or equivalent
- available to work full-time
- willing to perform duties including guest interaction and cash handling
Job Qualifications

- knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, and regulations related to reservation operations
- ability to use personal computer and various software programs
- capability to control, account for, and handle cash

- basic knowledge of billing procedures
- ability to handle customer complaints professionally
- strong organizational skills
Job Duties
- acts as the primary point of contact for all group reservations
- create and respond to email requests concerning group bookings
- receive requests and process group reservations of five or more persons
- administer all group contracts
- provide certificates of non-availability and alternative lodging when rooms are unavailable
- maintain contact with central reservation system to ensure accurate room inventories
- utilize online management console to verify and adjust room availability
- verify arrivals list daily and correct inconsistencies
- utilize property management system to access guest information
- register and assign rooms to guests
- secure and authorize credit cards for room charges
- issue room keys
- keep records of occupied rooms and guest accounts
- present statements and collect payments
- greet groups with pre-made keys and registration forms
- demonstrate effective communication and a welcoming manner
- interact professionally with guests
- provide information on hotel facilities and local attractions
- assist in handling customer complaints
- receive and manage a change fund
- prepare close bank report and deposit cash receipts
- set up direct bills and liaise with front desk staff
- ensure guest security and privacy
- perform other related duties as assigned
