Job Requirements
- Relevant sales experience in MICE or event management
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to meet deadlines
- Professional telephone etiquette
- Strong negotiation skills with suppliers
- Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
- Positive attitude and teamwork orientation
- Willingness to work within commuting distance of Perk hubs in the US
- Fluency in English
Job Qualifications
- Previous sales experience in venue sourcing or meetings and events
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional and friendly telephone manner
- Confident negotiating rates with suppliers over phone and email
- Excellent time management with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Positive, flexible attitude and team player
- Experience with MICE venue searching tools such as Cvent is a plus
- Knowledge of event venues, hotels and destinations worldwide is advantageous
- GDS Amadeus certification and proficiency including manual ticket reissuing is preferred
Job Duties
- Putting together RFPs for global customers and managing the process from proposal to negotiation terms including site inspections as relevant and appropriate
- Working closely with the wider sales organization at TravelPerk to increase client awareness of our MICE offering by joining discovery calls and aiming to increase opportunities especially with AM teams
- Coordinating operational process with TravelPerk teams based on customer requirements and overseeing setup of arrangements
- Handling phone calls and email requests from existing and potential customers in a timely manner
- Providing customers with suitable options and recommendations to meet their event or group accommodation requirements
- Proactively maintaining relationships with customers to uncover future opportunities
- Problem-solving and anticipating customer needs to provide excellent customer service
- Processing client responses within agreed MICE service level agreements
- Acting in accordance with company quality standards and procedures
- Actively participating in company processes and suggesting improvements
- Supporting the global MICE team and assisting colleagues as needed
- Maximizing opportunities to generate additional revenue streams for North America and other regions to achieve revenue targets and drive profitability
