Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Hospitality or related field is required
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality sales is required, experience with group sales and/or Frisco market is preferred
- or equivalent combination of education and experience
Job Qualifications
- Exceptional communication and presentational skills
- Technical acumen to effectively navigate point-of-sale and CRM systems including Salesforce, Delphi/Amadeus (Space Management/BEO), and Horizon/SAP POS/ticketing system is desirable
- Knowledge and experience working in Frisco, Dallas, and surrounding areas hospitality and/or event industry is preferred
- Exhibits sound judgement and confidence in making decisions that will impact the business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook

Job Duties
- Develops, solicits and negotiates group bookings through direct outreach, special promotions, lead follow up, networking, and engagement with professional associations and memberships to achieve objectives for sales volume and revenue
- Consistently meets and exceeds established group and event sales goals and key performance metrics
- Assists in the development of sales plans, resort-wide, theme park or hotel sales initiatives and group sales collateral
- Drives hotel occupancy by packaging room blocks with special events and park access, team building activities and meal options
- Negotiates group rates in alignment with Revenue Management strategies to maximize occupancy and average daily rate (ADR)
- Develops partnerships with corporate planners, destination marketing campaigns, and convention bureaus to secure hotel and event business
- Maintains close communications with Hotel Operations and convention services to ensure smooth execution of groups stays and meetings
- Promotes Universal Kids Resort services, including the theme park and hotel, to prospective customers by conducting tours of the facilities
- Drives group sales by proactively seeking sources of new business and maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts, following up to generate repeat business, new leads, and referrals
- Partners with key UDX Marketing & Sales teams to support cross-departmental initiatives
- Prepares custom sales proposals and negotiates service contracts to reflect the requirements of the prospective clients
- Negotiates rates and prices for each individual group based on client needs, the marketplace and value of business
- Collaborates across UKR divisions to ensure a seamless and successful event execution
- Creates, manages, and distributes reports to effectively communicate sales data and insights
- Utilizes Salesforce for lead generation, account management and tracking sales activity
- Effectively manages the sales cycle including lead generation, contracting, execution and follow-up
- Maintains resort knowledge throughout the theme park and hotel and continues to be well-versed in all Universal Kids Resort product offerings, procedures, and policies
- Stays informed about industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging event technologies
- Participates in ongoing training, internal briefings, and product updates to ensure accurate and current knowledge is applied in all client interactions
- Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UDX policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities
