Job Requirements
- Ability to work inside and outside in all types of weather
- medium to heavy work requiring repeated or prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching
- lifting up to 100 pounds
- frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds
- ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs
- good eye-hand coordination with the ability to perform repetitive or continuous tasks according to set procedures and sequence
- may be exposed to fumes, odors, dusts, gases, poor ventilation or other conditions affecting the respiratory system or the skin
- possible exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred
- ability to operate basic cleaning and yard maintenance tools
- good communication and teamwork skills
- ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
- basic knowledge of painting techniques is a plus
Job Duties
- Performs daily pickup of property grounds, parking lot, sidewalks, dumpsters, etc.
- assists property staff in noticing general maintenance problems or safety concerns
- assists maintenance staff in keeping pool area including furniture and storage areas clean and orderly
- maintains company tools and equipment in proper working condition
- may prepare surfaces to be painted and do interior and exterior painting duties as directed by supervisor
- at supervisor's direction, runs errands to purchase or pick up repair or replacement parts
- may perform light landscaping duties such as pulling weeds, removing dead plants, raking, etc.
- other duties as assigned by supervisor
