Job Requirements
- Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- experience in groundskeeping at multi-family properties
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
- ability to stand, walk, or sit as needed
- physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, climb stairs and ladders
- ability to lift items up to 35 lbs with assistance for heavier weights
- good vision
- positive attitude and customer service skills
- capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- teamwork and communication skills
- problem-solving ability
- adherence to safety procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- one year of experience in groundskeeping at a multi-family property or equivalent field
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
Job Duties
- Checks and replaces exterior lighting regularly
- cleans and maintains the pool if certified
- maintains awareness of proper safety precautions
- constantly observes the condition of the property and reports unsafe conditions
- monitors utility meter cut-offs, apartment fixture cut-offs, and sewer cleanouts
- performs work area clean-up and safety-related duties
- physically walks the property frequently to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings
- performs trash-out duties at vacated apartments
- transfers trash to dumpsters and sweeps areas
- details property regularly including cleaning and raking under shrubs
- repairs and replaces windows, screens, sliding glass doors
- assists with physical tasks such as tearing down fences and digging post holes
- assists with make-ready duties
- helps clean and maintain storage areas
- performs interior and exterior painting duties
- changes locks and makes keys when directed
- distributes resident communications
- performs any additional duties assigned by manager or senior maintenance technician
